Jorge Mírez is an Electrical Mechanical Engineer, graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Mechanical Engineering of the Pedro Ruíz Gallo National University in Lambayeque – PERU (http://www.unprg.edu.pe), Y; He has a Master of Science degree with a mention in Physics and a Doctor of Science with a mention in Physics from the National University of Engineering in Lima – PERU (http://www.uni.edu.pe). His Master’s thesis topic dealt with energy microgrids powered by conventional and unconventional sources, in which he seeks: energy management at the generation, transmission, storage and consumption level; optimization and control in real time and autonomously. The PhD in Physics was in cooperation with Aalborg University – Denmark and the Doctoral Thesis topic: «Control, Optimization and Management of Direct Current Microgrids».

He supported his Master’s thesis in Physics on January 3, 2011; and his Ph.D. thesis in Physics in 2018, both at the Faculty of Sciences of the National University of Engineering, Lima, Peru. This Blog presents the results of his research work, readings, and comments that he has been developing during his academic and research activity for years.

He has carried out various simulation processes of the different elements that intervene in the microgrid, seeking then the integration of all the elements and analyzing their operation during normal operating processes. It also contributes in this blog to the best knowledge of the different technologies through graphs, explanations, comments, and simulations.

Dr. Jorge Mírez is willing to work and cooperate with professionals, students and teachers from universities and technological or research institutes, non-governmental organizations, public and private companies interested in renewable energy issues and energy systems in general.

Jorge Mírez is Administrator of the Matlab Group on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/Matlab.Simulink.for.All/

He was Associate Professor at the Faculty of Sciences of the National University of Engineering (Peru) from April 2011 to March 2014. He is currently an independent consultant, researcher in the field of renewable energies and life support, and; Research professor at the Faculty of Petroleum, Gas and Petrochemical Engineering (FIPP) of the National University of Engineering (UNI), in Lima, Peru.
