Dear lectors, in this post I show the results of the 3D simulation with variable axial spacing between conductors within the cable (S) and conductor diameter (d) of the inductance L per core of a 3-core cable or of three single-core cables comprises two parts, the self-inductance of the conductor and the mutual inductance with other cores, given by:
L = K + 0.2 loge (2D/d)

Dear audience. I am very happy in to write this post 1000 :)D . During many years, it has been a both exciting and hard work in read, understand, programming, modeling, simulations and analysis of results. The figure is a little photovoltaic power plant with its respective solar radiation. It has been implemented from mathematical models of thesys and books. The model is adaptable to PV plant of more power. Made in Matlab of MathWorks Inc.

Fossil fuel generators are commonly used in hybrid energy systems. Actually, most isolated power systems are based on fossil fuel, using internal combustion engines as prime movers. It is common to see diesel engine/generators in medium-sized and larger isolated systems. The smallest systems sometimes use gasoline and some very large isolated power systems occasionally use conventional oil-fired steam power plants. Diesel generators typically consist of three main functional units: a diesel engine, a synchronous generator with voltage regulator, and a governor (device which automatically regulates speed). The diesel engine is normally connected directly to a synchronous generator. A voltage regulator ensures the proper voltage is produced. The frequency of the AC power is directly proportional to the engine speed, which in turn is controlled by the governor.
Diesel engine generators are often called on to follow the load. That means that their output must be equal to the system load less the production of any other generators that might be producing energy -net load. As the load may go up and down, so must the electricity generated. This is known as part load operation. Generally, the conversion efficiency is less at part load than at full load. Fuel consumption over the full range of operation is summarized in fuel curves. In these curves, fuel consumption is graphed against engine loads (see figure). Regardless of efficiency considerations, manufacturers normally recommend that diesel generators not be run below some specified minimum power level, known as the minimum load. Typically, the minimum recommended load is between 25% and 50% of rated. Engines run for long periods at levels below the minimum recommended can experience a number of problems.

In the present post a comparasion has been development between differents energy sources: Coal, Oil Thermal, Single Cycle, Combined Cycle, Nuclear Power, Hydropower, Geothermal (my lecture interest in this days in this days), Solar PV Power and Windpower Plant. There is one cycle call «binary cicle» in Geothermal with minimum impacto in enviromental (cuasi zero CO2). Goethermal have a good potential in applications as heat and electric power generation. In Perú it have a promisore future and other countries too. Mathematical models and numerical simulations in Matlab/Simulink of this topic is of my interest.

J963e: Other example of microgrid con cell fuel wind turbine PV microturbine battery bank and loads…
This microgrid have different elements: wind turbine, photovoltaics, fuel cell, battery bank, microturbine and interconection with main grifd. The level power is little but it is a interesting microgrid for study. It is a typical AC microgrid with load distribuited in many locations into microgrid. Main grind is a sub-transmission network in 20 kV.

There is a significative difference storage system and electric power system interconnection unit. The microgrid usually has as high power from grid point of view that it is connected to medium voltage fine, typically 15 kV in Poland. Although the power system interconnection unit has almost the structure as storage system, its primary voltage is in range of kilovolts and is sinusoidal. So, it requires different power electronic converter. It is assumed in Poland that all devices connected to 15 kV lines have to be joined using 50 Hz transformer. Hence, the grid interconnection unit can have a structure shown in Figure.

The figure shows the minimum requirements for a VPP: a number of small participants (consumers or DERs); a communications network (the internet or dedicated lines); a communication platform with a common information model and a consensus on the communication architecture; a primary energy supply network; and a link to the energy market. The primary energy supply is the foundation of the VPP, the communication system forms the glue holding the VPP together, and the market link is the incentive which drives the system to service the needs of its owners and customers.A VPP may be dispersed over a large area, though in the case of islands and other microgrids it may equally well have tight geographical limits.
